The advanced features provide superb insulation and weather performance, as you would expect from one of the world’s leading producers of uPVC window systems. Problems like rotting, rust, etc. just don’t apply. In special conditions like coastal areas (salt, storm, sun, …) the benefits of uPVC are particularly applicable. The system has been tested to and has the following accreditations:
BS 7412:2002 (weather performance, windows and doors)
BS EN 12567-1:2000 (thermal performance, windows and doors)
Thermal Insulator
Like wood, uPVC is a good insulator. Its coefficient of heat conductivity is actually slightly lower than wood at 0.17 W/mCº, compared with 0.23 W/mCº. The equivalent coefficient for aluminium is approximately 210 W/mCº.
Acouostic Insulator
The combination of the uPVC material, the double glazed sealed glass unit and the excellent system design, ensure superb acoustic insulation.
Self Extinguishing
uPVC burns when subjected to flame, but does not burn by itself; the product extinguishes immediately when the external flame source is removed.
Easy to Clean = Low Maintenance
Its closed smooth surface means that uPVC is extremely easy to clean using a gentle household detergent dissolved in water. This also means that the product is virtually dirt resistant because there are no pores which can be filled with dirt.
Woodgrain-Effect Foil
To give your windows a more natural look, you can take advantage of the beautiful wood grain effect finishes. The Zendow 3000 Series is available in a choice of Golden Oak and Rosewood.
